Haven Riviera Cancún

Overall okay experience. The check in experience was a breeze. The room was labeled as “partial ocean view” but you had to stand at the very edge of our balcony to see the ocean. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast buffet had a good amount of options. The cafe was our go to for lunch. We tried 3 of the restaurants and the only one we did not like was the Italian one. I had a seafood risotto that had dried out mussels and clams. The texture was also so gritty. Drinks were okay. Margaritas varied depending on which bartender was making them. Also wait service at pool was hit or miss. Had a female server the first day was on it and had our drinks flowing. The next day we waited over 20 min for drinks and the male server brought drinks to the couple next to us within minutes. We ended up just getting drinks for ourselves at the bar before he came back and he seemed annoyed that we did that. The beach was nothing to write home about. A lot of seaweed present but they had chairs and loungers if you just want to enjoy the ocean breeze. The pools were relaxing; main pool is more lively. If you want a chair or lounge bed get up early to secure one!! The entertainment was hit or miss. But we did love doing salsa lessons, trivia, and karaoke with Mar! Live violinist was amazing. But the singer at the foam party was not my favorite.

This resort is beautiful. Every table, room, bathroom, plant, restaurant, lamp and everything was picked out to the finest detail. The rooms are just as advertised and way more spacious than we expected. The food was amazing with plenty of options. I was amazed the restaurant dinners were included with the price due to how amazing they were. Even the room service came with restaurant grade plating. Everything felt high quality there. They had so many activities each day that we didn’t feel the need to even leave the resort. The beach had seaweed, sure, but we didn’t even care because the rest of the resort was better than I could’ve imagined.

We had an amazing 10 day stay at Haven Riviera. Everything was top rate including the food, service, house keeping and bar staff. All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and eager to help. Special shout out to Degner the pool concierge as he was extremely attentive and helpful. Adrian and Maria at the lobby bar were also amazing. There are also two ladies named Sandra who deserve special praise. Sandra at the front desk graciously assisted us on several occasions with friendly efficiency. The service provided by Sandra at the buffet was noteworthy by her friendliness and ready smile. The only complaint we had was that the beach sea weed was never removed (I was advised that the hotel's tractor was broken down). Notwithstanding the beach issue, it was a wonderful vacation. I can't wait to share my experience at this incredible resort! Our weekend getaway was absolutely fantastic. Huge shoutout to the front desk for making our check-in and check-out process a breeze, especially Juan from concierge who even lent me his charger. Emmanuel at the beach, Luis our butler, and Josinho were all so helpful and welcoming. The food was beyond amazing, from the buffet to the taco/burger stand by the pool. Every bite was so fresh and delicious. The live music by the pool added such a fun vibe to our stay. A big thank you to the entire team for making our family reunion so special and enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend this place!

We had such a fun girls trip here! Mar from entertainment/activities was great we played pickleball, water polo, and volleyball with her! Very fun and nice! Johny with activities was amazing showed us how to salsa and we loved playing crazy game with him at 1530. He was helpful and entertaining. Rubio and Franklin dropped off our room service and were personable and remembered us every day. On night one we thought we would hear the doorbell from our swim out but we didnt and Rubio walked all the way around the hotel to catch us in the pool to say he had our food. On our last morning he said he saw our room number come up and he wanted to come say goodbye. Such a sweet guy! Pedro at the dockside bar was thoughtful and introduced us to Mexican candy shots which really livened our trip. Everyone was appreciative of our visit and wanted to make sure we would be back. We will 100% be back and recommend it to everyone. The staff alone made it a fun experience. The food and show options were a plus! Love the burlesque show

After 9 years at Luxury Bahia Principe - Akumal, we tried something new. It was a good experience, especially how much we always enjoyed Akumal. The service and rooms here were an upgrade. The entertainment team with Alfredo, “el jefe” and Johnny (he was awesome) did their best to get the energy up. The vibe of the resort is more chill and quiet, but they did a great job with what they had to work with. Finally, our butler Adrian was spectacular. His presence/ service/ knowledge/ friendliness were just superior. Again, we took a risk to change, and it did not disappoint. A different experience with other strengths. No real minuses. The people were outstanding. One final shoutout to Allan (Serenity Lounge bartender) and Carlos/ Julian/ Emanuel (servers by the pool). Went above and beyond at all times.

Superior service Returned recently from a 1 week stay at Haven. We chose the Serenity club option mainly for the oceanfront room and free golf. Room in building 4 was spacious, clean with a huge bathroom and closet area and had great oceanfront view. Added bonus I didn't expect was the butler/concierge service to be such a huge benefit. Our butler Miguel checked with us daily and made our dinner reservations, helped get some medical aid for my wife and also fixed my broken sunglasses. He also booked our spa appointment. Totally unexpected attention to detail and customer service. Ask for Miquel for your butler if you choose Serenity club. Every employee we encountered was extremely nice and always willing to help if needed. Standouts include Mar (pool activities), Ricardo (pool service), Guillermo (server at Vora Mar), Lorenzo (server at Olios), Ely the bartender at Docks and all the bar staff at the Haven Lounge. My only slight minus would be the menu in most of the restaurants was limited. Thanks again to Miquel, Mar and the rest of the staff at Haven for making our stay a great time!

The visit was to celebrate my 50th birthday. The hotel is amazing, 10 days went to quickly. All the staff was so nice and helpful. And couldn't do enough for you. Pools are lovely and love the little cafe it's great for an early cuppa and pastry before breakfast. Alfredo was super and always found us to say hello and come to see us off too. Arturo from the restaurant was lovely too, he was our favourite waiter. We were lucky to sit in his area almost every day. We had had an amazing time 100% recommended and would definitely come back to this hotel. Favourite restaurant was the italian and the tepeanyaki but the were all great. Love the fact you can visit as many time as you like. Xx
